ILPA, Cimarron Host Latin American Private Equity Roundtable
Inaugural Event Attracts Institutional Investors from Six Countries
February 10, 2011 | Miami, FL, United States – To enhance dialogue between limited partners across geographies, the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), in partnership with Cimarron Capital Partners, today convened close to 40 senior-level institutional investors from North and South America at the Conrad Hilton Miami.
The inaugural ILPA-Cimarron Latin America LP Roundtable 2011 attracted pension funds, family offices, insurance companies, endowments and development finance institutions from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Brazil. Participating firms, listed on the event website, engaged in a full day of presentations, workshops and informal exchanges on topics related to private equity investing including due diligence, legal practices and managing a global private equity portfolio.
"This Roundtable is an extension of ILPA’s mission to provide networking, information sharing, and
education for its members and prospective members,” said Roundtable co-host Kathy Jeramaz-Larson, Executive Director of ILPA.
The event was chaired by Jesús Argüelles of CalPERS and facilitated by Christina Kappaz of Cimarron.
"As an institutional limited partner engaged with both North and South America, Cimarron noted that communication across these geographies was limited,” said Ms. Kappaz. “We're pleased to have partnered with the ILPA to this inaugural Roundtable, which we hope will enhance investor dialogue and create opportunities for sharing insights on funds and elements of fund investing.”
